Long form? Let them save and continue later
A signed email link, a draft saved server-side, zero friction to come back. Built for applications, grants, onboarding, and any form too long to finish in one sitting.
How it works
A clean three-step loop. The respondent saves, we email a unique link, they pick up exactly where they stopped.
Respondent hits Save
A "Save and continue later" button is visible on every page of multi-page forms. One click captures everything they've typed so far.
We email a signed resume link
A unique HMAC-signed URL lands in their inbox seconds later. The link is single-use-friendly, time-bound, and impossible to forge.
They click and continue
The form opens at the exact page they saved on, with every answer pre-filled. No re-typing, no lost progress, no account needed.
Signed, expiring, no shared secrets
Resume links carry a cryptographic signature tied to the draft. Tampering invalidates the link. Expiry kicks in automatically.
HMAC-signed URLs
Every resume URL is signed server-side. Anyone who tries to alter the draft ID or guess one is rejected immediately.
Time-bound expiry
Default expiry is configurable per form. After expiry, both the link and the underlying draft are removed automatically.
Email-bound delivery
The link is sent only to the email the respondent provided. They can re-request a fresh link if it gets lost in their inbox.
No account required
Respondents don't need to sign up to save and resume. The link itself is the credential — friendly to anonymous workflows.
Drafts are visible on your side too
In the dashboard, a Drafts tab sits next to Submissions. See progress percentages, last activity, and how many respondents started but didn't finish.
Drafts tab
Browse all in-progress responses. Filter by completion percentage, sort by last activity, see which questions stalled out.
Conversion analytics
See where respondents drop off and where they save. The data tells you which questions to shorten or split.
Auto-cleanup
Expired drafts are removed on a schedule per your retention rules — no manual housekeeping, no GDPR overhang.
Per-form toggle
Save & Resume is opt-in per form. Long applications: on. Quick contact form: off. Total control.
Forms that need this most
When the form is too long, complex, or thoughtful to finish in one sitting, Save & Resume is the difference between a submission and a bounce.
Job applications
Candidates assemble their work history, references, and writing samples over days. Don't make them lose progress when life interrupts.
Grant applications
Long-form narratives, attached documents, multi-stakeholder review. Grants live or die on completion — Save & Resume keeps them alive.
Onboarding & intake
New customers, patients, students fill out lengthy intake forms with documents to gather. Saving means they actually finish.
Medical / legal intake
Sensitive information that respondents want to verify before submitting. Save & Resume gives them a pause without losing the work.
Multi-stakeholder forms
Forms where multiple people contribute (e.g., spouse + applicant). Save the draft, email the link to your partner, finish together.
Research & survey panels
Long-form research instruments where attention fatigue is real. Letting participants split sessions improves data quality.
Privacy posture
Drafts are real submissions in waiting — treat them with the same care. Here's what we do.
What's stored
Only the form fields the respondent has filled in so far, plus a draft ID and the email used for the resume link.
How long
Drafts persist until the link expires (configurable per form). On expiry, both the draft and any uploaded files are deleted.
GDPR-ready
Data subject access and deletion requests cover drafts the same way they cover submissions. No hidden retention.
