A real Google account integration

Built on Google OAuth, scoped to read-only Drive and Forms access. Your account, your forms, your data — never proxied through shared keys.

OAuth-secured connection

Standard Google OAuth flow with read-only scopes. Revoke access anytime from your Google Account settings — we don't store passwords or shared API keys.

Browse all your forms

See every Google Form in your account from inside FormBuilder. Filter by recently edited, response count, or folder. No more digging through Drive.

Real-time response sync

New submissions to your Google Forms appear in FormBuilder within seconds via a live webhook. Run both side-by-side during a transition with zero data loss.

Multi-form management

Connect once, work with as many Google Forms as you need. Bulk operations across forms — search, filter, export — all from a unified view.

Folder & permission aware

We respect your Drive folder structure and shared-permission settings. Forms shared with you (not just owned) are visible too.

Disconnect anytime

One click in FormBuilder Settings revokes the connection. Already-imported forms stay yours — only the live sync stops. No vendor lock-in.

Why teams keep Google Forms connected

The integration isn't just for one-time import. Plenty of teams keep both running for the long haul, with FormBuilder as the unified layer.

01

Run both during transition

Don't want a hard cutover? Keep submissions flowing into Google Forms while building the FormBuilder version. New responses sync to FormBuilder so your dashboards stay current.

02

Departments on Google, HQ on FormBuilder

Some teams already work in Google Forms — finance, HR, ops. Connect their accounts and pipe responses into a central FormBuilder workspace for unified reporting.

03

Aggregate responses across many forms

You have 50 Google Forms scattered across your account. Connect once, browse them all, pull responses into FormBuilder analytics — no per-form export grind.

04

Power users with shared forms

Forms shared by your team, your school, or your client land in your view via the Google permission model. Manage everything you have access to from one place.

05

Keep audit trails in two systems

For compliance teams that need responses retained in both Google Workspace and FormBuilder, the live sync mirrors data into FormBuilder while Google keeps the original.

06

Schools running quizzes on Google

Teachers continue using Google Forms for quizzes; admin sees aggregated results in FormBuilder for cohort-level analysis without changing teacher workflow.

Connect in 4 steps

Standard Google OAuth. Read-only scopes, revocable anytime, no data leaves Google until you decide to import a form.

Click Connect Google

In Workspace Settings → Integrations, hit Connect Google. You're redirected to Google's OAuth page — never to a third-party form.

Authorize on Google

Google asks which scopes to grant. We request read-only Drive metadata and Forms responses access. Review and approve from your Google account.

Browse your forms

You're returned to FormBuilder with your full Google Forms library visible. Filter, search, or open any form to preview before importing.

Pick what to import

Click any form to bring it over. Existing responses come with it. Live sync turns on automatically — new Google Form submissions land in FormBuilder in real time.

Permissions, scoped tight

We ask for the minimum Google scopes needed to browse and import. Nothing more.

Read-only Drive metadata

We can list your Google Forms — name, owner, last modified — but we cannot edit, delete, or create files in your Drive. Period.

Forms responses, read-only

When you import a form or enable sync, we read responses you authorize. We never write back to your Google Forms or alter their structure.

Your data stays yours

Imported responses live in your FormBuilder workspace under your existing data retention rules. No third-party telemetry, no cross-customer mixing.

Revoke from Google

Disconnect from FormBuilder Settings, or revoke from Google Account → Security → Third-party apps — both work, both stop access immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Is the integration the same as the one-click importer?
They overlap, but the integration is broader. Import is a one-time event for a single form. The integration is the ongoing OAuth connection — it's what lets you browse all forms, sync responses live, and manage many forms together. Import is one feature the integration enables.
Do new responses to my Google Form sync after I import?
Yes. Once a Google Form is imported, the live sync turns on by default. New submissions to the original Google Form appear in FormBuilder within seconds via webhook. You can disable sync per form if you prefer one-time-only import.
Will FormBuilder modify my Google Forms?
No. The integration is strictly read-only. We can list your forms and read responses you authorize. We never edit, delete, or create anything in your Google Drive.
Can I connect multiple Google accounts?
Yes. Workspace admins can connect multiple Google accounts — useful when teams own forms under different work emails. Each account is managed independently in Settings.
What happens if I disconnect the integration?
Live sync stops immediately, but every form and response you already imported stays in FormBuilder. Reconnect anytime to resume syncing. There's no data loss and no penalty for disconnecting.
Does this work with Google Workspace admin restrictions?
Yes, as long as your Workspace admin allows third-party OAuth apps for Drive and Forms scopes. If your admin requires app allowlisting, ask them to approve FormBuilder's OAuth client — we provide the verified app details on request.
